Note: Join the IC crew at The Cheer tonight as we celebrate Halloween with the Jets/Panthers game starting at 6:30 pm cst.
Globe and Mail: Craig Ramsay shows no resentment towards Jets. While he might not be saying it to any of the media on hand, I’m sure that he will be quite pleased to beat his old team if the Panthers win tonight.
Winnipeg Free Press: Ramsay happy with role in Florida. The breaking of ties to Ramsay seemed to cause some consternation because many didn’t approve of the manner in which he was dismissed. The good news for him, is that the Panthers are playing pretty good hockey right now.
Winnipeg Sun: Jets trying to get where Panthers are. The Panthers have surprised many with their fast start (6 wins, 4 losses and 7th in the Eastern Conference) while the Jets have played well but not enough to overcome some critical errors each game. Currently they reside in the basement of the East (just ahead of the Stanley Cup Champion Bruins).
TSN: Jets continue road trip against Panthers. According to Munz you can expect the same lineup you have seen for the 2 previous road games and Pavelec to get the start for the Jets.
Sportsnet: The cost of doing business. The group that makes up True North aren’t cockeyed optimists hoping that they can make this successful as a hockey program first and a business second. Almost from the outset we have seen True North make decisions that will ensure long term viability for this organization within this community.
Opposing team news – Florida Panthers:
Florida Sun-Sentinel: Win one for Rammer. Does this give the Panthers extra motivation to beat the Jets?
