Sportsnet: Kyle Connor takes the ice for optional skate in regular jersey. Jets forward Kyle Connor, who remains on the injured reserve, takes the ice for an optional skate with a regular contact jersey ahead of the team’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

TSN: Mark Scheifele (lower-body) out vs. Flyers. Mark Scheifele will not play Saturday against the Flyers. Head coach Rick Bowness told reporters the Jets’ forward was supposed to skate Saturday morning but did not feel right, so he remains day-to-day. He suffered a lower-body injury Thursday against the Blackhawks and left the matchup early.
