Note:   With the Jets playing an afternoon contest (2 pm) be sure to tune into a special early morning edition of the Illegal Curve Hockey Show Saturday on TSN 1290 Winnipeg from 8 am until 11 am.  The guys have an action packed show including a look back at the Jets/Hawks game, looking ahead to the Jets/Wild match and other NHL topics of interest.  Guests:  Bob Duff (Windsor Star), Robin Short (The Telegram) and Frank Provenzano (Former AGM for Stars, currently with ESPN).

Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets games feel ‘like the same movie over and over again.  I’m sure fans are collectively yelling for the players to stop the movie and put in a new one then.  Unless that movie is Groundhog Day with Bill Murray and then it just never stops.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Stuart back in the lineup.  The Jets made some moves on defence today after getting the news that stalwart D-man Stuart would be back with the team as they sent Zach Redmond down and moved Zach Bogosian to the IR.

Winnipeg Sun:  Noel looking for ‘excitement’.  He is trying to get everyone onto the same page and it must be like banging your head against the wall to get them going for a bit only to have the engine sputter and stop.

Illegal Curve:  Coach Noel post-practice presser.   Solutions to the problems he saw last night?  Instead of over reacting, looking for a silver lining?  How much responsibility is on the players to get motivated?  Buff’s maintenance day.  Mark Stuart ready to go and what will it mean to bring him back?  Individual button pushing?  Is this just a stage in the process?  Challenge of being a coach in the NHL.  Talk about the Wild.
