NHL.com:  Colorado begins five-game road trip; Laine eyes 200th NHL point for Winnipeg.  Despite his goal scoring prowess it still seems unbelievable that Laine is about to hit 200 points.  Darrin Bauming previews tonight’s game between the Jets & Avalanche.  

Winnipeg Sun:  ‘Sad’ day all around as Jets react to Cherry’s firing.  Grapes is an iconic figure who has been the talk of the hockey world since his Saturday comments went viral and ultimately led to his firing.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Avs hobbled, but Jets taking nothing for granted tonight.  (Paywall).  Despite the laundry list of players on the shelf this is still a Colorado team with one of the most dangerous players in the NHL and a team that has back-to-back wins in the past two games.  Of course the Jets have one of the hottest netminders in the NHL so they have quite a lot of confidence in him.

TSN: Jets praise Hellebuyck’s goaltending. Connor Hellebuyck has been sensational for the Jets this season, currently boasting a .933 save percentage and 2.28 GAA through 14 games. His teammates praised his performance in net and his big saves in important moments that have helped them continue to win games despite dealing with injuries to some of their top players.

TSN: Jets know they’ll need their legs against speedy Avs led by MacKinnon. As the Jets get set to welcome the Avalanche to town, they explained that despite Colorado coming in with a banged up roster, the Avs are still dangerous as long as Nathan MacKinnon is on the ice.
