Jets news:
Winnipeg Sun: Rocket Richard battle takes centre stage Laine and Ovechkin go head to head in chase for goal-scoring supremacy. As someone pointed out on our Instagram account with all this hype and all eyes on #29 and #8 the goals are likely to come from 4th liners.
Winnipeg Sun: Ovechkin vs Laine vs Malkin. We tend to forget that Malkin is just one goal back of Ovechkin and Laine. Regardless of the eventual outcome it is nice company for the Jets sophomore to be keeping.
Washington Post: It’s Capitals vs. Jets, but it’s also Alex Ovechkin vs. Patrik Laine for the goal-scoring title. It is almost as if this meeting has become slightly more important than the game.
ESPN: Jets are building toward a title with a young core, while Capitals try to keep Stanley Cup window open. Should be an interesting tilt between two of the better teams in the NHL.
Illegal Curve: Jets vs. Capitals pre-game report. Take a look at what happened at the rink this morning as Winnipeg gets ready to face Washington at Verizon Center tonight and check out the health updates on Steve Mason, Mark Scheifele, Dmitry Kulikov, Jacob Trouba, Adam Lowry and Shawn Matthias.
