Note II:  NHL commissioner Bettman will be speaking to the media at 6:30 pm and we will cover his presser as well as provide you with all the latest Jets news coverage.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets hope to regain momentum as fans prepare for whiteout.  You can tell the players are excited for the experience but don’t want to be overwhelmed at the same time.  They face a critical test tonight as they try and pick up the first franchise playoff win for the organization.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Winnipeggers prep for tonight’s whiteout.  The buzz around the city is quite insane actually.  I’m not sure how anyone is getting any work done right now.

Winnipeg Free Press:   Five takeaways ahead of tonight’s game.  Ed hits you with these five topics including: 1) Snow 2) People of interest. 3) Only NHL franchise without an NHL post-season win.  4)  Prospects.  5) Focus on Kesler.

Winnipeg Sun:  Downtown Winnipeg ready for whiteout crowd.   Folks in this city are rocking Jets gear, adorning Jets flags on their cars and just talking about the Jets, Jets, Jets.  The feeling is almost palpable.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets focused on task at hand.   It would be easy to lose focus considering the magnitude of the occasion with everyone from the hockey world descending on our Prairie city to take in tonight’s game but the Jets players know that they cannot afford to lose the game and go down 3-0.

NHL.com:  Winnipeg fans ready to bring back the whiteout.  Much like the inaugural home opener against the Habs the Jets are generating a lot of buzz around the NHL.

ESPN:  Raucous Winnipeg fans stoked to bring back the ‘Whiteout’.  Lots of journalists are excited to be in Winnipeg covering this unique game.

CBC:  Jets fans expected to ‘blow the roof off’ MTS Centre for playoffs.  There won’t be another moment like it unless the Jets win a Stanley Cup.  It really is that simple.  We had the first Jets exhibition game which had an incredible atmosphere, then the home opener against Montreal and now a Whiteout to open the playoffs.

Illegal Curve:  Game Day Set-Up: Ducks @ Jets.  Setting up tonight’s Jets and Ducks game with projected lines, starting goalies, game notes and more.

Illegal Curve:  Jets vs. Ducks Game 3 projected lineupsTake a look at what the lines looked like after practice today and what combos you should expect to see at the MTS Centre this evening.  Audio:  Lowry, Ladd, Wheeler, Scheifele and Perreault.

Illegal Curve:  Morning Jets Papers.  If you missed any of the news we have you covered.

Jets audio:

Illegal Curve:  Coach Maurice pre-game scrum.  Hear the Jets bench boss talk about the hype of game 3 and how he gets ready for tonight’s Whiteout.

Ducks news:

L.A. Times:  Countdown to Game 3 – Winnipeg Jets fans have been waiting since 1996.  Lisa is a terrific writer and brings her talents to the city as she covers the game for the Times.

Orange County Register:  Ducks prepare for Winnipeg whiteout in Game 3.  With these snowy conditions will these Ducks be able to fly?  It is anyone’s guess how either team will react to the pomp and ceremony surrounding tonight’s game but you can bet this Ducks team will be ready for puck drop.
