Winnipeg Jets activate Rasmus Kupari from IR; loan him to Manitoba Moose for conditioning

In a move that makes a lot of sense the Jets announced that Rasmus Kupari is coming off IR and heading to the AHL to play for the Moose on a conditioning assignment. Manitoba left today for Belleville where they will take on the Senators tomorrow night before heading to Laval for a pair of games.

In 15 games for the Jets this season Kupari was limited to one assist. Back on November 14th in a game against the Devils which the Jets were already going 11/7 they lost Kupari to a shoulder injury in the 1st period. The next day associate coach Scott Arniel informed us that it would be a 4-7 week recovery. Ended up being read to go in the eighth week of his recovery.

The conditioning assignment can last up to two weeks which gives the player a chance to play some games and practice while still receiving their NHL salary and counting against the salary cap for Winnipeg. He will likely play five or six games for the Moose.
