Winnipeg Jets activate Matt Hendricks; assign Nic Petan to Moose

As Matt Hendricks got closer and closer to full health the Jets were expected to make a move.  Somewhat unexpectedly that move was sending Nic Petan to the Manitoba Moose.  Petan doesn’t have to clear waivers as he remains on his entry level contract.  In six games with the Jets this season he has no points.  I say somewhat unexpectedly as both Marko Dano and Joel Armia were the extras at skate yesterday and with potentially eight healthy D, there was some thought that the team could send Tucker Poolman down to get some playing time on the AHL club.
