Colby Barlow‘s season with the OHL Owen Sound Attack came to a conclusion on April 3rd as they were eliminated from the playoffs which means the Jets 2023 1st rounder is available to continue his hockey development with the organization’s AHL franchise in Manitoba.
In 50 regular season games with the Attack he had 40 goals and 18 assists for 58 points and he was able to produce one goal and two assists in the four games of the playoffs for Owen Sound.
As we saw with 2022 3rd rounder Danny Zhilkin last year it’s a good opportunity for a player to get integrated into the group and to potentially play some meaningful games.
Manitoba plays today at 2 pm but given Barlow hasn’t practiced with the team he isn’t likely to play (potentially) until next weekend when they host Iowa.
