The Jets original 3rd rounder (79th overall) was dealt to the Canucks as part of the Nate Schmidt deal. This one came by way of the Patrik Laine trade with the Blue Jackets.
They went to the OHL and selected Danil (Danny) Zhilkin of the Guelph Storm who is a left-shot centre who put up 23 goals and 32 assists for 55 points in 66 games.

“He was born in Russia but moved to Mississauga when he was young and represented Canada at the ‘21 U18 Worlds where they won a gold medal.”
