Winnipeg Jets 2021 3rd Round Draft Pick (82nd overall): Dmitry Kuzmin

With the 82nd pick of the draft the Jets took left shot 5’10 defenceman Dmitry Kuzmin who played for Dinamo-Molodechno in Belarus and who was selected by Flint of the OHL in the Import Draft.

Here is how he was ranked ahead of the draft according to Eliteprospects:

Ranked #42 by ELITEPROSPECTS.COM
Ranked #165 by FCHOCKEY
Ranked #91 by TSN/BOB McKENZIE
Ranked #73 by MCKEEN’S HOCKEY
Ranked #72 by NHL CENTRAL SCOUTING (EU Skaters)
Ranked #83 by RECRUIT SCOUTING
Ranked #63 by DOBBERPROSPECTS
Ranked #93 by DRAFT PROSPECTS HOCKEY
Ranked #59 by SMAHT SCOUTING

Here is what Elite Prospect said about him:

He works give-and-goes from the point, reads hands-offs, fills space, and stays low when activated — an offensive zone possession extender. There’s no locking to the point — he skates down the middle or down low when the puck comes to the point, then he dips behind his man and cuts inside. -EliteProspects 2021 NHL Draft Guide
