It has been a breakout year for Jets 2019 4th rounder Henri Nikkanen who put up seven goals and 13 assists in 47 games for Mikkelin Jukurit after a rookie campaign which saw him get three assists in 27 games the year before. It was good enough to see him finish in 5th spot for U20 scoring in Liiga.
His season with Jukurit came to an end on Tuesday and there were questions from folks as to what would be the next step for the talented forward from Mikkeli, Finland.
It looks like he will be heading an hour and a half south west to Lahti to play for the Pelicans who put out a release indicating they had signed Nikkanen (and a few other players) for the next two seasons.
