After the first 60 games of the season the Jets were sporting a 26-29-5 record. In the seventh segment of ten games the Jets have gone 4-4-2 to give them an overall record of 30-33-7 on the season. Broken down as follows:

Once again the lamp was lit most often by Jets rookie Patrik Laine who continues to lead the Jets (and all rookies) in goals. Not only does he lead Winnipeg in goal scoring he sits just two goals behind Sidney Crosby and Brad Marchand (35) for the most in the NHL. While scoring goals hasn’t proven overly difficult for the Jets it was the usual cast of characters in Scheifele, Ehlers and Wheeler who added the most goals behind Laine in this block of ten.
Goaltending:
There was no question who had the net in this block of ten games as Connor Hellebuyck continues to be the go to guy for the Jets bench boss. Game 70 was his 14th straight start in net for Winnipeg as he continues to get a chance to show the team that he can handle the responsibilities of a number one goalie. The problem for the young netminder is the Jets defence has been in shambles which hasn’t exactly helped as he continues to attempt to grow his game.

Injuries:
During this block of ten Tobias Enstrom recovered from his surgery to play five contests before a Tom Sestito check from behind knocked him out of the lineup with a concussion. Ondrej Pavelec was reportedly on the mend but then had a scope done on his knee which was initially reported as season ending but then the Jets indicated it could be approximately 2-4 weeks. About midway through this block coach Maurice indicated that Tyler Myers was skating on alternate days and that routine was still the same about eight days later. Last up is Jacob Trouba who is listed as day to day and missed game 70. The assumption was that a fight in game 69 against the Flames Sam Bennett is what has caused Trouba’s malady but the team has not confirmed same. Marko Dano was forced to leave game 70 against the Predators twice however the Jets bench boss didn’t have an update on his status following the game.
To date this season the Jets have lost 272 man games to injury.
