Winnipeg Ice reduce training camp roster as they get set for WHL preseason

WHL training camp got underway last week in Winnipeg with the Ice hitting the “ice”. On Monday the team announced they have trimmed their roster down to 34 players (which includes 16 prospects) including:

Goalies: Noah Stenvig, Dawson Cowan, Daniel Hauser & Keegan Maddock.

Defence: Josh Mettimano, Omen Harmacy, Ben Zloty, Jaren Brinson, Ashton Cumby, Carson Lambos, Jonas Woo, Maximilian Streule, Chase Bambrick, Kyle Marsden & Owen Boucher.

Forwards: Zach Benson, Evan Friesen, Skyler Bruce, Briley Wood, Oscar Lovsin, Alessandro Segafredo, Owen Pederson, Aiden Oiring, Connor Dale, Mikey Milne, Ty Fraser, Hayden Moore, Conor Geekie, Josh Medernach, Miles Cooper, Ashton Brown, Daniel Morozov, Matthew Savoie & Connor McClennon.

The Ice head to Brandon where they will kick off the preseason against the Wheat Kings on Friday. They will be back in Winnipeg to have a re-match against the Wheaties on Saturday.
