Goaltender Jimmy Howard has signed a three-year contract with the Red Wings. Howard will earn $600,000 next season, according to the NHL players’ union.

Many people thought this would be the year that Jimmy Howard would make the jump to the NHL, but with the Wings’ signing of Ty Conklin, it looks like Howard will probably have to wait another season to play on the big club. I, for one, am not going to question the Wings’ decision making when it comes to personnel moves.
