From Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune:

WILD HAS SIGNED ANDREW BRUNETTE TO A MULTI-YEAR DEAL AND HAS ACQUIRED DEFENSEMAN MAREK ZIDLICKY, A QUALITY OFFENSIVE DEFENSEMAN, FOR RYAN JONES AND A 2009 SECOND-ROUND PICK

The Brunette move has been speculated for some time by Russo. This is a solid signing for the Wild. As for Zidlicky, they add another puck-moving defenseman to go along with their Marc-Andre Bergeron deal last month. Zidlicky was expendable in Nashville with the emergence of Shea Weber, Ryan Suter and Dan Hamhuis. He has the ability to quarterback the power play, something the Wild certainly will need with Rolson on his way out. Also, he makes a strong first pass from his own zone and is a good skater.

Both solid moves for the Wild.
