Voice of the Winnipeg Jets Dennis Beyak to retire at the end of the 2021-22 season

The only voice that Jets fans have known since the team returned in 2011 was Dennis Beyak who has been part of the TSN broadcast since the beginning. How many times has he said his iconic “bang bang” throughout the years?

Today TSN announced that he intends on retiring at the end of the season.

A great broadcaster and an even better person. The product of Winnipegosis, Manitoba will be missed around the rink.

If you’d like to share your thoughts on him folks are doing so on our Instagram account here.

Update:

Dennis will join us on the Illegal Curve Hockey End of Season Wrap-Up Special which looks back at the Jets 2021-22 season. The show gets underway at 8 PM on Monday, May 2nd.

Working hard on a daily basis to provide the latest Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose news for our readers and listeners. I also appear on the Illegal Curve Hockey Show every Saturday on our YouTube channel as well as the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show after every single Jets game. And I occasionally jump in the play-by-play booth at Canada Life to provide colour analysis during Manitoba Moose games.
