From TSN:

The San Jose Sharks have locked up an important piece of their future.

The team has signed defenceman Marc-Edouard Vlasic to a four-year contract extension that will kick in after this coming season.

He’ll earn US$735,000 in the final year of that entry-level deal.

Even though he had a bit of a setback last season, Vlasic is going to turn into a very good two-way defenseman.  The team has higher hopes for him than the they did for the recently departed Matt Carle, so expect Vlasic to become a top-pair defenseman before this extension is complete.
