Jets winger Patrik Laine is back in Finland during the pause in NHL action. Today’s video conference covered quite a bit of ground. Check it out.
Notable:
Communicating with his teammates: “I’ve been sending pics to Nikky (Ehlers) of my Lambo and he’s been sending me pics of his.”
His season to date: “First time in my career that I had more assists than goals. Hopefully that doesn’t happen again.”
On a return to play scenario: “My game is probably going to look terrible as I haven’t skated for two months…..”
Said his first game with the Jets was his most memorable. Added having his family there and getting a goal and an assist helped.
Laine, who uses a Bauer Vapor stick, said it is the one piece of equipment that he really puts a lot of focus on. Not a surprise.
Was asked about the 2 on 1 OT winner against the Leafs where he had the hat trick. Took a fun shot at Nikolaj Ehlers saying he never considered passing in OT.
