Philadelphia signs UFA defenceman Ossi Vaananen to a one year deal worth $1-million
Both teams are shoring up their depth with these signings. Patrick Rissmiller will probably slot into the Rangers’ fourth line and Vaananen will probably be the 6/7 defenseman on the Flyers’ depth chart.
