Update on day 7 of Winnipeg Jets training camp

The Jets are coming off a 3-2 loss to the Oilers last night in Winnipeg as they fell to a 0-1-1 record in the pre-season. That’s just how they started out last year and then won 56 regular season games for those that might be concerned about exhibition games.

Skate news:
They broke into a more veteran group of 34 players and a younger/AHL group of 12 (although Connor Hellebuyck was in this one so not all were younger/AHL). As per Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press it was a special teams day today for that larger group. He lists off the groups for PP and PK as listed below.

Power Play:

PP1: Scheifele, Connor, Vilardi, Perfetti, Morrissey

PP2: Toews, Namestnikov, Niederreiter, Nyquist, Pionk

PP3: Iafallo, Pearson, Lambert, Chibrikov, Miller (Yager and Heinola also rotating in).

Penalty Kill:

Samberg DeMelo
Fleury Schenn
Stanley Salomonsson

Barron Koepke
Ford Anderson-Dolan
Duehr Di Giuseppe
Zhilkin also rotating in
