The Colorado Avalanche have signed unrestricted free agent forward Darcy Tucker to a two-year, $4.5 million contract.
Tucker, 33, was bought out by the Toronto Maple Leafs last week.

Reasonable signing for the Avs. Tucker will provide depth on the wing for the Avs and another veteran presence in the dressing room. At $2.25 million per season against the cap, the deal is a solid one for both sides.
He's closing in on his first game since January 13th.
