From Darren Dreger of TSN:

Darcy Tucker’s career with the Toronto Maple Leafs is over.

Maple Leafs general manager Cliff Fletcher alerted Tucker of Toronto’s intention to buy him out on Tuesday afternoon.

“The decision is always difficult when you are dealing with a good person. We wish him well.”. Fletcher told TSN.

“Its a business, Darcy knows that,” Tucker’s agent Carlos Sosa told TSN.

Only in Toronto does Darcy Tucker being bought out generate this much attention. Tucker isn’t the player he once was, but he still can be a productive NHL checking winger who has a bit of a scoring touch. I’m sure a number of veteran teams will look to add the veteran pest.
