With the hockey world in Vegas the TSN Insiders were chatting on Thursday with Darren Dreger providing an update on a trio of players for the Jets organization including 2022 14th overall pick Rutger McGroarty, Nikolaj Ehlers and Sean Monahan.
This is what he had to say about the trio:
“Kevin Cheveldayoff the general manager for the Winnipeg Jets also very busy. Lots of speculation around his prospect Rutger McGroarty. He’s taking calls there. Interested in making a move for either a draft pick, maybe a prospect a young player. Winnipeg is still in it to win it. Getting calls on Nik Ehlers, the veteran. But there’s no rush on either one of those players. In the meantime Chevledayoff is still working with the Monahan camp potentially extending him.”
Nothing earth shattering but with Dreger as dialed into the Jets as he is you can bet that that’s the current state of affairs.
Here are six things to watch for on the upcoming six-game trip.
