True North Foundation will ‘Sweeten the Pot’ for Friday’s 50/50

While you would still win a substantial amount of money if you buy a 5050 at tonight’s Jets and Canucks game the draw on Friday during the Jets and Rangers game will start with $40,000.00 in the bank.

The Winnipeg Jets True North Foundation, the charitable arm of True North Sports & Entertainment Limited and the Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club, announced their second “Sweeten the Pot” initiative is taking place at the Jets game on Friday, Mar. 14/14 against the New York Rangers. Game time is 7:00 p.m.

To add to the festive atmosphere around St. Patrick’s Day, the Foundation will “Sweeten the Pot” Luck O’ the Irish style by starting the 50/50 amount at $40,000.

Tickets for 50/50 are sold throughout the concourse at MTS Centre from the time doors open until he end of the second period intermission. Tickets are 1 for $5, 3 for $10 or 10 for $20. You must be 18 years or older to purchase 50/50 tickets. All proceeds from 50/50 directly benefit the Winnipeg Jets True North Foundation.

Throughout the first two Jets seasons, the Winnipeg Jets True North Foundation has donated over $2.4 million to various youth based charities and programs. The total also includes funding for both The Winnipeg Jets Hockey Academy and Project 11.
