Travis Hamonic requests trade; Winnipeg listed as potential destination

News broke that Travis Hamonic of St. Malo, Manitoba is looking to move back to Western Canada for “personal reasons” and everyone between B.C and Manitoba started trying to figure out what it would take to get him back into this part of the world. The Islanders defenceman has excellent talent and is known for the phenomenal charity work he does with kids without a parent.

Hamonic spoke today about his trade requests:

“At the root of all this is a personal family matter of mine that I hold dear to my heart.  I think obviously things about my family have been well documented in the past but I think in this situation that’s about as far as I’m going to go, is that it is a personal family matter and I probably wouldn’t want to get into more detail.”  Watch the full interview here:
