It is a matchup most would have preferred to see in the third round but due to the NHL playoff format will come up in the second. The Predators beat the Avalanche in game 6 to clinch their first round series 4-2. The Predators were the top seed in the conference and will have home ice advantage in this series. So for round two we get the WpgWhiteout vs Smashville.
These two teams have squared off five times in the regular season and the results have been more favourable to the Predators:
Game 1: Predators 5 Jets 3 (November 20th in Nashville)
Game 2: Jets 6 Predators 4 (December 19th in Nashville)
Game 3: Predators 6 Jets 5 (February 27th in Winnipeg)
Game 4: Predators 3 Jets 1 (March 13th in Nashville)
Game 5: Jets 5 Predators 4 in shootout (March 25th in Winnipeg)
Starting goalies Connor Hellebuyck and Pekka Rinne are both Vezina nominees. Scheifele and Subban have quite the rivalry going and there are plenty of other storylines that should make for a hell of a series.
Once we have the schedule the site will be updated.
