TSN: “The Toronto Star reports that ESPN hockey analyst and former Los Angeles Kings head coach Barry Melrose is set to return behind the bench for the Tampa Bay Lightning.”

Here is the write-up courtesy of TSN.

This is sure to garner attention throughout the hockey world. I am not sure what kind of a coach Melrose will be, since he has been out of the coaching game for over ten years; however, I do know that I was quite a big fan of John Tortorella. He is a terrific coach, and while he may be abrasive at times, he got the most out of his players. As much as people seem interested in Melrose’s return, I am more interested to see where Tortorella gets hired and how soon that will be. Ottawa anyone???
