Starting at the 26:33 mark Jeff Marek and Elliotte Friedman discuss the Winnipeg Jets the day after the loss to the Islanders. Friedman went into the whole Kevin Cheveldayoff having the toughest GM job in the NHL with players who have Winnipeg on their no trade lists. Says it eliminates a big pool of players. Feels Jets would be all over Timo Meier but Jets need to believe they can extend him and he says he isn’t convinced that they can. If Jets don’t go ‘big game hunting’ then he thinks they could be in on a player like Schenn as well as Coyotes forward Nick Schmaltz (16G 21A for 37 points in 42 games) who has three years left after this one at $5,850,000 and cannot block a trade.
