On August 6th, The Believe in the Goal Foundation is hosting the SuperStar Summer ShowDown Hockey Game at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg. While the aim of this event is to provide some great hockey for the fans, the real goal is to raise money on behalf of children and youth fighting cancer. So, obviously the cause is a good one, and one that is certainly worth everybody’s support who can so afford to donate some money to the cause/buy a ticket to the event.
This foundation was created in honour of Todd Davison, a young player in the WHL and later the AJHL, who sadly passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer. In his name, his family has carried on The Believe in the Goal Foundation and has already raised over $150,000.
So, if you are in the Winnipeg area, try your best to get down to the MTS Centre to watch some NHLers, including Jonathan Toews and Travis Zajac, play a game for a great cause.
