From TSN.ca:
On Thursday, Hockey Canada released a roster of 46 players who have been invited to the camp, including five goaltenders, 16 defencemen and 25 forwards. The camp will run from August 24-27 at the Pengrowth Saddledome in Calgary.
Despite the fact that the Olympics aren’t until February, there is already a buzz about Team Canada. Some people may be upset that Osgood wasn’t one of the goalies chosen. Who these people are, I’m not so sure. Other notable omissions include Marty Turco, Jason Spezza, Marc Savard and Mike Cammalleri. I doubt Turco and Spezza would have made the team anyways but for them not to get an invite at all? Wow. Further, even though Savard has declined to play for Canada at previous World Championships, his snub from camp is quite appalling.
