And just like that the Jets second seven-game win streak of the season comes to an end as the Lightning hand them a 4-1 loss which was also the first time this season they’ve lost on the road (7-1-0).

Notable:
Given the Bolts hadn’t won in four games and had six days off it was clear which team was ready to start this game. as one team came out hungry and the other team was the Jets. Tampa outshot Winnipeg 5-0 early in the 1st and it was 7-1 when they opened the scoring courtesy of a Jake Guentzel wrister.
Winnipeg would wake up and get the shots close to even before the period closed out.
The visitors gave up two goals in less than a minute to give Tampa a 3-0 lead which is not something we’ve seen Winnipeg do this season.
They did get one back as Adam Lowry tipped home a Colin Miller shot for his first goal in twelve games and third of the season. Haydn Fleury also got his first point of the season with the secondary assist.
The power play wasn’t rolling as the Tampa penalty kill snuffed out the Jets chances.
The Bolts added an empty netter to seal the deal 4-1 and end the Jets winning streak at seven games. They also hand them their first road loss.
With the win Lightning goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy gets to 300 career victories.
