Whiteout Street Party

The Jets in conjunction with Economic Development Winnipeg announced on Friday details of the Whiteout Street Party. Basically there are two events: 1) The ‘Whiteout Street Party’ on Donald from Portage to Graham. Sounds like capacity for that is 5,000 and ticket costs will be $10.00 with 50% of proceeds going to help local charities and will be distributed through United Way Winnipeg. It opens two hours before puck drop. 2) The ‘Party at the Plaza’ which will be held at True North Square. Sounds like capacity for this is 1000. Cost for it is $20.00. It opens four hours before puck drop. Jets announced this morning that Street Party tickets for the game on Saturday are sold out. As it wasn't clear if this was for both events or the one bearing the name 'Street Party' I checked on Ticketmaster and both the ‘Whiteout Street Party’ and ‘Party at the Plaza’ are listed as sold out. Photo Credit: Colby Spence Tickets went on sale at 10 AM and the team tweeted out at 10:50 AM that they were sold out. Although it may have taken a lot less time. One Jets fan tweeted at me saying she finally got through at 10:06 AM and it already said sold out.
