Seems like they may as well have made it a Provincial holiday with all the people attending today's festivities. Smug isn't a word we in Winnipeg use (it's hard to be smug with -20 degree winters) and while we may be a bit self-depreciating (see my earlier comment), perhaps it is time for folks in Winnipeg and Buffalo to stop thinking we are about to wake up from a dream.
