Jean-Guy Trudel

Euro Curve takes a look at the latest international hockey news.- Jean-Guy Trudel has signed with Lugano of the Swiss A League. Trudel was playing with the Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League. Trudel is a veteran of the Swiss Hockey circuit, having spent the last four seasons skating with Ambri-Piotta, scoring 27 goals and 26 assists in 44 games in 2006'07. Trudel was an extremely gifted scorer as a junior ( 121 points in 1995'96 with the Hull Olympiques) who never established himself as an everyday NHLer, playing in only a handful of NHL games.- Andy Chiodo, Selected 2003 by Pittsburgh round 7 #199 overall has signed with Lokomotiv Yaroslav of the Russian Super League. He joins the likes of Washington Capitals goaltending prospect Semen Varlamov, Devils forward prospect Alexander Vasyunov and Alexei Yashin on the team. He comes to Lokomotiv via transfer from HPK of the SM-Liiga. Chiodo split the 2006'07 season between HPK and Jokerit after toying between the AHL and ECHL for two seasons within the Pittsburgh Penguins minor league system.-Hnat Domenichelli has left HC Ambri-Piotta to join Trudel, signing with Swiss powerhouse Lugano. Domenichelli was a top player for Ambri-Piotta, averaging over 55 points a season over the past four seasons.
