The only positives is that it seems like they are getting better chances and controlling the puck more effectively during their power play opportunities. Of course one goal (on a 5 on 3) isn't anything to write home about as the Jets are clicking at a paltry 8.8%. Winnipeg Free Press: Ladd a shootout wizard. It appears the Jets captain has come a long way since his first attempt back in his Chicago days. A stellar 4/4 this season you know if Winnipeg is hitting this time in a game, #16 will be one of the three players getting the call from coach Noel. Winnipeg Free Press: Notebook. NHL news: Edmonton Journal: Yakupov’s agent Igor Larionov open to a trade from Edmonton Oilers. Doesn't look good in Oil town right now. Yakupov is clearly under performing and his agent is equally unhappy with the way in which his client is being used by the team. Tampa Bay Tribune: Lightning’s Stamkos breaks leg, taken off ice on stretcher. A horrible injury to a star player and I'm sure many Canadians across this country were counting off the months before the Olympics start to see if he may be able to play for Team Canada.
