It was a busy Saturday with both the Jets and Moose in action. Catching up on the organization’s prospects this morning, we learned that 2022 fourth-round pick Garrett Brown — a right-shot defenceman in his third season at the University of Denver — was stretchered off the ice during last night’s game against in-state rival Colorado College. He remained motionless for the rest of the clip, and a subsequent video confirmed he was taken off on a stretcher. The University of Denver hockey X account shared this postgame update from head coach David Carle: "David Carle said postgame that Garrett Brown returned to the arena right as the game was ending, and that x-rays were negative. Absolutely fantastic news." Here is another quote from the bench boss in Denver via the Pioneers website: "He's (back) here (at the arena) so there's the fact that he's been released from the hospital. I know about as much as you do. You can infer that things went well at the hospital and now he's back with the guys, which is wonderful news. It was precautionary, but they thought they would probably have to keep him overnight is what I heard. So the fact that he is back is really positive. Big relief obviously for our team and our staff and his parents." Good news for the Jets prospect.
