In Detroit, the Red Wings officially hired Brad McCrimmon as an assistant coach and re-signed assistant coach Paul MacLean to a three-year deal. The IIHF is expected to hand down a ruling on Alexander Radulov's playing status by mid-August, writes John Glennon of the Tennessean. Kevin Paul Dupont has a feature on the Bruins' big off-season acquisition Michael Ryder. Dan Bylsma (remember him?) has been named the newest coach of the Penguins' AHL affiliate in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Coming off of a serious groin injury, Chris Clark expects to be ready for training camp, writes Tarik El-Bashir. Meanwhile, the Sharks were finally able to get Ryane Clowe under contract for one season at $1.6 million.
