Carson Lambos

Last season Winnipegger Carson Lambos wore an 'A' on his Winnipeg Ice uniform but he will be trading that in for a 'C' as he was named the 24th captain in team history. The 26th overall selection by the Wild in 2021 was just returned to the Ice from training camp with Minnesota where he showed the team his potential. In addition to naming Lambos captain the team also announced that Connor McClennon, Owen Pederson and Ben Zloty will be the alternate captains for the 2022-23 season. The Ice are considered a strong contender to compete for a Memorial Cup this season. They are currently 4-0-0 to start the season while embarking on a 13 game road trip to kick things off. They kick off an eight game road trip tomorrow night in Regina against the Pats (they actually play nine away from home but there is a six day gap between their final game of eight in Kelowna and game nine which they play in Brandon).
