Still, there is no specific date set for his return to the Predators lineup. Training camp … November … next year … all were thrown out as possibilities for Sullivan, who is under contract with the Predators until the end of next season.

Sullivan knows that his status — particularly the $3.2 million salary allocated for a forward who is not producing — is burdensome for the Predators, but he said General Manager David Poile has been supportive.

By the sounds of it, I don’t think the Predators have any expectation of Sullivan returning this season. If he does, that would just be a huge bonus for the team.
