Stanley Cup Playoffs Round 3 Game 5: Jets vs. Golden Knights pre-game report

Here it is.  Game 5 with the Jets looking to extend the series back to Vegas while the Golden Knights attempt to punch their improbable ticket to the Stanley Cup Final.  Puck drop is at 2 pm.

Morning skate notes:

No skate with today’s afternoon contest.  For now the projected lines and D pairs (see below) are based on what we saw to start game 4.  They will be updated at 1:30 pm when the Jets and Golden Knights kick off their pre-game warm up skate.

Warm-up update:

Lots of changes for Winnipeg as they are missing a number of players including Enstrom, Chiarot and Copp.  Whatever malaise was impacting Steve Mason is over as he returns to the lineup.  According Sara Orlesky of TSN the three missing are all healthy scratches.

Lines and D pairs:

Connor-Scheifele-Wheeler
Ehlers-Stastny-Laine
Perreault-Little-Roslovic
Copp-Lowry-Armia

Morrissey-Trouba
Morrow-Byfuglien
Kulikov-Myers

Hellebuyck
Mason

Extra: Hendricks, Matthias, Dano, Copp, Enstrom, Chiarot and Hutchinson.

Audio:

Coach Maurice to speak at 11 am.
