Hard to believe it is game 2 of the Western Conference Final already but it is supposed to be another beautiful day in Winnipeg and that will bode well for the tens of thousands of fans who will be attending the Winnipeg Whiteout Street Party.
With respect to today’s morning skate it is listed by the club as an optional. Tobias Enstrom had left game 1 in the 2nd period although he returned for the 3rd and played the remainder of that contest. Even if he isn’t skating this morning we will likely have to wait until pre-game warm up skate to truly get an indication if there are going to be any changes.
Morning skate notes:
It is an optional skate this morning according to Mitchell Clinton of Jets TV who indicates the only player missing is Bryan Little.

Coach Maurice: Does Patrik Laine need to score to feel good about his game? On how the youth have handled playing this many games in a season? What has he seen from Joel Armia’s game? When did he start to believe that this team could go on this type of a run? On picking up Laine if he makes a mistake along the wall. Has Mark Scheifele elevated his game and how has he done it? Any surprise in the style of game from game 1 and does he expect anything different tonight? What was his view of the James Neal hit on Tobias Enstrom?
