Stanley Cup Playoffs – Round 2 Game 4: Predators 2 Jets 1 recap

Photo Credit: Colby Spence

It was certainly not the prettiest of games as the Preds scored one in the 1st, one in the 2nd and then were content to sit back and take opportunities as they came but not to overly press themselves and not to give up chances to the Jets.  Patrik Laine did score his third goal of the playoffs with 51 seconds left but it was too little too late as Nashville won the contest 2-1.  They basically played a solid road game which saw them even the series 2-2.

Take a look at the advanced stats via Natural Stat Trick.

Notable Numbers:

– Patrik Laine got his third of the playoffs and first goal of this series;
– Paul Stastny is up to seven assists;
– Pekka Rinne was solid for the visitors making 32 saves on 33 shots.

Working hard on a daily basis to provide the latest Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose news for our readers and listeners. I also appear on the Illegal Curve Hockey Show every Saturday on our YouTube channel as well as the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show after every single Jets game. And I occasionally jump in the play-by-play booth at Canada Life to provide colour analysis during Manitoba Moose games.
