Stanley Cup Playoffs – Round 2 Game 2: Jets vs. Predators pre-game report

The Jets held an optional practice on Saturday so we didn’t get any insight into their potential roster for game 2 although it is likely to remain the same.  We will find out today and for now the projected lines and D pairs based on the last game.

AM Skate Notes:

Via Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun we learn “Looks like all healthy players present and accounted for at #NHLJets morning skate. Mathieu Perreault is in the non-contact jersey. Connor Hellebuyck sticking to his routine of skipping the am skate”.

Projected lines and D pairs:

Connor-Scheifele-Wheeler
Ehlers-Stastny-Laine
Tanev-Lowry-Little
Hendricks-Copp-Roslovic

Morrissey-Trouba
Enstrom-Byfuglien
Chiarot-Myers

Hellebuyck
Mason

Extra: Matthias, Dano, Morrow, Poolman and Hutchinson.
Injured:  Armia, Perreault.

Audio:

Jacob Trouba

Mark Scheifele

Brandon Tanev

Coach Maurice:  Trying to get greedy for another win.  What has Enstrom brought in his return?  Strength of the Nashville board play.  Status of Joel Armia?  Outside of Winnipeg is Mark Scheifele a superstar in the shadow?  How has Steve Mason handled his role?  Is there a way to measure the impact Mason has had on Hellebuyck?  On Hellebuyck staring down the camera pre-game and the intensity he approaches a game.
