Stanley Cup Playoffs – Round 1 Game 1: Jets 3 Wild 2 post-game recap

An exciting first game between these two geographic rivals saw a lot of firsts.  Mark Scheifele and Patrik Laine scored their first ever NHL playoff goals, Connor Hellebuyck picked up his first win in net and the Jets get their first ever franchise playoff win.  Joe Morrow played the role of unlikely hero.

The bad news for Winnipeg is they lost Mathieu Perreault after he took a number of hard hits in the 2nd period.  Coach Maurice didn’t have any update on #85 following the game.

Take a look at the advanced stats via Natural Stat Trick.
