Speedy Sharks edge disconnected Jets 2-1 as Winnipeg drops second straight

The win streak has become a losing streak as the Jets drop their second straight game in California losing 2-1 to the Sharks.

For those who would like to take a deeper dive into the advanced stats click here to see the results from the game via Natural Stat Trick.

Notable:

It was a milestone game for Vlad Namestnikov who played in his 800th NHL game against a Sharks team that once traded for him but then subsequently dealt him to the Jets.

Josh Morrissey was done letting Logan Stanley be the leading D goal scorer on this Jets team. His second of the season made it a 1-0 game for Winnipeg.

Ironically TSN did a video saying how can the Jets stop Macklin Celebrini and the answer would be not giving him a breakaway just 1:12 after taking the lead.

After a bad middle frame the Jets went full blender on the lines and even the top D pairing.

They had a chance to take the lead when Cole Koepke had a chance to bury a puck into the empty net but he chose to make a move.

Tough night for Connor Hellebuyck who was absolutely ridiculous tonight in San Jose.

Atrocious defence by the Jets led to the Sharks taking a 2-1 lead late in the 3rd.

With the loss Winnipeg drops to 9-5-0.

Multi Point Game:
