Some News on Sunday

As you can probably tell, I didn’t post the papers this morning (I was due for some sleep), so instead I’ve decided to pass along some interesting reads for this Sunday the 30th of November:

• Apparently the KHL is having a myriad of financial problems.  This certainly doesn’t surprise me.
• Here is some news on Mats Sundin and Brendan Shanahan from Pierre Lebrun.  Seems like things are finally getting closer to getting done.
• Stan Fischler’s weekly NHL roundup.  Always enjoy the maven’s work.
• It looks like Alexander Semin will still be out of the Capitals line-up for a while.  Not good news for Caps fans.
• If you are betting on the Panthers/Rangers game, take the Rangers -0.5–literally.  The accuscore is generally accurate because it most often predicts the Panthers to lose.
• Kevin Paul Dupont examines what makes the Bruins tick.  Impressive win last night.
• The Wild aren’t anti-American, writes Michael Russo.  Good piece by Russo.
• Larry Brooks thinks the NHL should ban fighting. I don’t agree at all.  Sure these guys are big, but they opt to fight and it should be their choice.
• Here are 13 things to know about Brian Burke.  Brian Burke got hired by the Leafs? That sure came out of nowhere!
• Rumors galore from Bruce Garroich of the Ottawa Sun.  I know readers love trade rumors.
