Vancouver, B.C. – Vancouver Canucks General Manager Mike Gillis today announced that the team has re-signed goaltender Curtis Sanford. Sanford, 28, played in 16 games last season posting a record of 4-3-1 and a 2.83 GAA. In 89 career NHL games, Sanford has a 30-29-11 record with a 2.80 GAA and a Save Percentage of .900.

CALGARY – The Calgary Flames signed former Edmonton Oilers forward Curtis Glencross and brothers Jim and Peter Vandermeer on Wednesday. Jim Vandermeer, a 28-year-old defenceman, re-signed with the Flames, inking a three-year deal. His brother Peter, a tough 32-year-old forward, was signed from the Phoenix organization and is destined to play for the Flames farm club Quad Cities.

The Ottawa Senators have added some sandpaper to their lineup. Feisty forward Jarkko Ruutu has agreed to a 3-year, $3.9 million dollar deal with the Senators.

He's closing in on his first game since January 13th.
