Another Jets defenceman on shelf! Add Grant Clitsome to the list.

He was on the initial injury group that coach Maurice announced back on December 4th and you can add him back to that list of injured Jets defenceman.  Today following practice the Jets bench boss announced Grant Clitsome was “day to day, but believes it may be a week or two before he can play”.  He later said it was an “upper body injury”.

In response the Jets announced they had recalled Keaton Ellerby from the St. John’s IceCaps.  It was expected that Ellerby would have been recalled prior to Ben Chiarot when the Jets were dealing with their initial glut of injuries in December but he himself was dealing with an ailment and was unavailable.  According to coach Maurice Ellerby was “cleared to play today”.

If this doesn’t have the team wrapping Dustin Byfuglien in bubble packaging I don’t know what will.
