From Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune:

Agent Ben Hankinson confirmed a report on Minnesota Hockey Journal that defenseman Sean Hill is close to signing with a team in Switzerland.

Hankinson said Hill’s No. 1 option is to play in the NHL and he has some options, but not the right fit yet to risk not having a job in October.

Read the short entry from Russo’s Rants here.

Hill was in and out of the line up last season and is not the defenseman he once was.  He has clearly lost a step and his offensive game isn’t much of a factor, so this move shouldn’t really affect the Wild.
